China’s Top Medical‑Device Startup Competition Heads to Tianjin for Final Showdown

The 9th China Medical Device Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition will wrap up with three days of finals in Tianjin (October 22‑24, 2026) at the V1 International Circuit. More than 250 cutting‑edge project teams will present across six categories, including high‑value consumables, surgical and nursing devices, AI‑driven products, wearables, growth‑stage innovations, diagnostics, therapeutic equipment, and IVD reagents. Organised by the China Science and Technology Development Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Medical Products Administration and leading academic bodies, the contest has become the nation’s premier platform for medical‑device innovators. Since its launch in 2018, eight editions have attracted over 6,000 projects, awarded 726 prizes, and helped winners secure more than 8 billion RMB in financing. The finals will feature a Medical Device Innovation Service Seminar and an exhibition zone where R&D firms, CDMOs, testing labs, clinical‑trial groups, regulatory consultants and IP specialists can showcase services and arrange one‑on‑one meetings with participating teams. Judges from clinical, technical and industrial fields will evaluate each pitch. The event promises high‑impact networking, investment opportunities and a glimpse of the next wave of medical‑technology breakthroughs in China.
